Drove from Lichuan to Enshi airport, stopping for lunch on the outskirts of
Enshi. Re-joined Eddie, Tony and John at the airport. Boarded a plane andas
soon as we had reached cruising height, we were descending into Wuhan airport.
The maority of the group stopped in Wuhan awaiting a flight the next day.
Bruce, Eddie, Tony, ZH met two showcave guides from Wunnian and their driver
at the airport and proceeded on a mammoth journey to Wunnian 7.5hrs, stopping
off for lunch at a cafe en route and at a couple of petrol stations. Numerous
toll booths were met. After loosing our way close to our destination, we arrived
at a newly completed hotel past midnight. A late supper then bed. The furniture
and fittings were pristine and still had their packing (also there was a snag
list that included non-working electrics, low water pressure and loos that did
not flush) Otherwise, the rooms were palacial with aircon, tv and brand new
beige carpets - not suitable for muddy cavers!
